Congrats, your company has chosen to upgrade to Office 365 hosted exchange email and you need to setup your phone and just want email to work.  The company exchange server will no longer be used.

The general “how to setup my phone steps” are the same for iPhone and Android users with the screens having slight differences between versions and brands of phones.

Step 1.  Turn off WIFI – you need to be on the cellular network
Step 2. Remove the existing Exchange account, if asked to keep or remove contacts always choose to keep contacts.

• Open the Settings app.
• Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
• Select the current Exchange account to remove it. 
• Click the minus sign to remove the account.   Keep contacts if prompted to save or remove.

Step 3. Add the Microsoft Hosted Exchange Office 365 account.

• Open the Settings app.
• Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
• Select the Microsoft Exchange Active Sync icon. 
• Add Account, enter your email address and password.   (if there is any doubt about the correct username and password go to https://portal.microsoftonline.com and login)
• Follow the prompts to complete the setup.    On some android devices you will need to add the server as outlook.office365.com

Samsung, Google Pixel, LG all have a variety of models.  This process goes smoother with an up to date phone.  We have seen some sprint and boost mobile phone with modified screens and they are the most difficult to get email accounts working.
